As a flutist, Laura Halladay has played to capacity audiences in Schoenberg Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and has performed internationally everywhere from Cairo to Acapulco. She can be heard on movie scores, TV and video soundtracks and has recorded with artists as diverse as Linda Ronstadt (on her Gold Record album, "Canciones de Mi Padre"); harpist Stephanie Bennett; and Angels of Venice on Windham Hill records. World orchestra, MESTO, commissioned a solo concerto for Laura featuring her playing seven different flutes, recorders and penny whistles.

Recently she performed with the San Diego Symphony as the Recorder specialist, playing the John Williams score for "Harry Potter: The Prisoner of Azkabhan" live along wih the film. She currently composes for and performs with the CELA new music ensemble. Her great passion for Jazz and ethnic music continues to lead her into new directions that combine elements of dance, new age and world music.
